Untitled Page

What is the difference between an inlay and an onlay, and when would each be necessary?
Both inlays and onlays are used to cover minor tooth decay. An inlay fits within the body of the affected tooth, while an onlay is applied to the chewing surface of the tooth.

What are the various materials used in onlays and inlays?
Inlays can be performed with a variety of materials, but the most common are tooth-colored materials or precious metals (white or yellow gold).

Will I experience discomfort after receiving an inlay or onlay?
You should experience little or no discomfort after receiving an inlay or onlay.
